Website Design

Aside from photography I can also work with you to design and build a website that looks great and get results. With over 20 years’ digital and website design experience I’d love to bring your business, products, and services to life online.

Website design for your business

I can take as much or as little off your hands as you need, but typically, my website design project consists of the following:

  • one design (of two pages of your choice)
  • bespoke designs for both desktop and mobile
  • development of your website in WordPress
  • installation and configuration of a variety of plugins
  • population of content, imagery, and video
  • testing and launch

1. Design process

My design process puts you and your customers at the heart of everything I do. I get to know your ideal client, discover what they need and want, and design an online solution that works.

Over my many years as a Nottingham-based website designer I found that of the three designs I used to submit to clients, they’d always go with my first concept.

So rather than spend too many hours during the design process, and to save my clients money, I now design one concept which can be tweaked as necessary.

Your on-brand designs will be submitted to you for feedback in PDF format, and will show how your site will look on both desktop and a mobile device.

Please note: I only design with final content. So this must be available prior to work commencing.

After I’ve received your feedback I’ll tweak the design as necessary and request sign-off.

2. Build

After the design has been approved, I’ll use WordPress to build your website. The WordPress platform is sophisticated, yet easy enough for you to navigate and edit your own content.

I’ll start by installing WordPress to your chosen hosting platform (I can help you with this) and installing the essential plugins required to get your website functioning.

Your design will then be implemented and your website will start to take shape.

3. Content

Some clients like to add their own content, but more often that not, the preference is for me to do it.

I’ll take all of your content, images, video etc. and populate your website, ensuring that everything looks good and provides a great experience for your end user (your client or customer).

4. Functionality

All functionality will have been agreed during the consultation, and might include things like:

  • online bookings
  • event listings
  • client account login
  • blogs
  • online store
  • and much more

The functionality of your website will be designed and implemented inline with the rest of your website.

The whole package

There’s much more to think about than just your website. Things like photography, logo design and branding, copywriting, video, social media and more.

I can help with as much or as little as you’d like and will discuss this with you during our discovery meeting.
